Dr. Robert A. Ginsberg, affectionately known as Bob or Dr. G, has worked in the Princeton Public School district since1988, spending ten years at Littlebrook Elementary School (serving as the principal who re-opened the school after it had been closed for over a dozen years) and 21 years at Johnson Park. Before he retired on Jan. 1st, 2022, he worked twice with the District as the Interim Assistant Superintendent for Curriculum & Instruction, from Feb. 1998 to Jun. 1999 and most recently, from Jul. 2020 to Dec. 2021.
Bob has a special place in his heart for organizations that support students, their families, and our community, having worked closely with the JP Koko Fund and the LB Joe Fund (both of which underwrite opportunities for children to participate in arts, athletics, and other enrichment activities), SHUPP (Send Hunger Packing Princeton, which provides meals for families who face nutritional challenges), the Princeton Mobile Food Pantry, and the Princeton Children’s Fund. Currently, he serves as the president of the Princeton Public Library's Board of Trustees and volunteers with the Delaware & Raritan Greenway, the Morven Museum and Garden, the Historical Society of Princeton, the Ying Hua International School, and the municipality's Vision Zero Task Force (to ensure safer streets for pedestrians and bicyclers). He is also thoroughly enjoying the opportunity to read more books! |
The weather forecast indicates a 90% chance of rain on Friday (5/6) during our planned celebration of Bob Ginsberg Day.
